Privacy Policy

Last updated · June 2026

You came here to say something you couldn't say anywhere else.

That trust is the entire product. So here is exactly what happens to your words — and what doesn't. No legalese designed to hide anything. If a clause here is ambiguous, read it in your favor.

What We Collect

Your confession text. An optional profession label. An optional email — only if you paid for a response or joined the intel list. No account. No name. No profile. If you use the free tier, we store nothing that identifies you. If you pay, Stripe handles your card — we never see it.

How We Use It

Free confessions are reviewed by AI moderation, then published anonymously to the Live Ledger if approved. Paid confessions are read by the Secret Keeper and responded to at the tier you purchased. Your email is used solely to deliver that response — nothing else, ever.

What We Don't Do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't build a profile on you. We don't track you across the web. We don't use your confession to train a model that writes back to strangers. The Secret Keeper is a person, not an algorithm pretending to be one.

The Permanent Burn

If you purchased the Permanent Burn add-on, your confession is deleted from our servers after it has been read and responded to. No backup. No archive. No residual copy. It existed, it was witnessed, and then it was gone — by design.

Audio Distortion

If you submitted a voice memo with the Audio Distortion upgrade, your voice is identity-scrambled before any storage or playback. The words remain. The voice does not. We cannot reverse the process, and neither can anyone else.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use local storage on your device to track your free confession count each month and, if you subscribed, your subscription status. Clearing your browser data resets these. We do not place advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your confession at any time by contacting the Secret Keeper. Because submissions are anonymous, you'll need to reference the email you used (if any) or enough of the confession text for us to locate it. We will remove it within 72 hours. For the full legal framework — retention policy, DMCA takedown process, defamation response, and limitation of liability — see our Terms of Service.

Children

This platform is for adults. We do not knowingly accept confessions from anyone under 18. If we detect that a submission was made by a minor, we delete it immediately and without response.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date below and note what changed. We will never quietly weaken your privacy after you've trusted us with something real.

Truth with integrity becomes freedom."
